The tiny hamlet of Toller Fratrum
in Dorset, England, seems to be mostly known for this baptismal font. The font
is much older than the church where it now resides, but opinions differ as to
how much older. I have seen dates from 12th century to "early Saxon."
There is also a wide difference of opinion as to what the carved scenes
represent. This is thought to be an Old Testament scene, perhaps Moses leading
his people from bondage, or leading them into battle ■
