We ask for God's Grace during this year for priests. Each of us is called in faith to serve the Lord. But only a few are called to be his holy priests. To be fathers of God’s people! To be shepherds of his flock! Sharers in the priesthood of Jesus Christ! We priests, are anointed to preach the good news of freedom to those held captive in many ways, spiritually and materially. To heal the brokenhearted in the sacraments of mercy, especially Penance and Reconciliation. All this Jesus intends when he tells us: “Feed my sheep.” Apacienta mis corderos. Our Lord calls you in a special way to feed God’s people with the Word of life and the Bread of life. With the Gospel and the Holy Eucharist. My brothers! Can there be any greater mission than to share in God’s plan for his family, for the growth of his kingdom on earth? Let us pray for the Grace of God to continue to strengthen all priests in doing God's holy work.
